The Home of Franklin D. Roosevelt National Historic Site contains "Springwood", the home of America's only 4-term President. The group enjoyed a guided tour of FDR's home, a self-guided tour of the Museum and strolled the grounds, gardens, and trails.
The Vanderbilt Mansion National Historic Site was established as a monument to an era rather than a tribute to any one person or family. The estate illustrates a way of life modeled on the English country house.
The tour at the Culinary Institute of America included a delicious lunch at their restaurant, Caterina de' Medici which overlooked a stunning herb and rose garden and the beautiful Hudson River.
The Walkway Over the Hudson was originally a railroad bridge. It now provides pedestrians with spectacular views up and down the Hudson River.
The West Point tour included stops at the Cadet Chapel, Trophy Point, and the Battle Monument.
After the tour of Brotherhood Winery, the group enjoyed tasting many flavors and textures of the wine offered there.
At the end of the day, there was time for dinner and drinks among friends.
Thanks to Sue Zeller who provided some of the pictures.
